Cotton/Silk Raindrop Print Shirt

I love the warm weather but unfortunately, what I love to wear during the Summer is just not work appropriate. I work in an office environment so I have to dress pretty professionally. It's always a challenge having to find clothes that I can wear to work while still keeping nice and cool. I've found Ann Taylor is a place I can find chic, professional attire. I just purchased this top and can't wait to wear it this coming week. If you find you're in need of work clothes, visit Ann Taylor.

Essie Van D' GO

Right now I am loving this coral nail polish by Essie. The color is Van D' Go and it goes perfect with my Nars Taj Mahal and Laura Mercier Bellini lipgloss. You should definitely pick this up. If you know of a good place to order Essie from online, let me know by commenting.

NARS Taj Mahal

I FINALLY obtained NARS Taj Mahal blush. I have been looking at this blush for the past 3 months. I checked out a review on YouTube by Nurberxo who swears this blush looks good on any skin tone. You can check out her review by clicking here. Even though it looks awesome on her, I still had my doubts. I went to my local Nordstroms who has a display of all their blushes. I swatched it onto the top of my hand and it still seemed to bright for me. Then I came across Michele1218's review and I decided to go in for the plunge. I love all the items and products she recommends so I figured if she was saying it looked good on all skin tones, then she must be right. You can view Michele's review here. I went back to Nordstroms to purchase it and just my luck... they didn't have it. They were completely out. I was so bummed but I took myself home and ordered it online. This color seriously DOES look good on any skin tone. The trick is not to over apply as it is extremely pigmented. It's definitely the blush I'm using this summer.

Laura Mercier Eyelash Curler

I've been pretty unsatisfied with my eyelash curler for quite some time. I never found it to be quite comfortable and there was a lot of pinching. I had to constantly be extra careful and if I was in a hurry, forget about it, I knew I was in for pinching then.

I had searched online for a good eyelash curler and not one particular brand stood out. The other day I was at my local Laura Mercier counter and came across their eyelash curler. It looked so different than all the others I've seen that I decided to purchase it on the spot. That's pretty unlikely of me. I usually read up on reviews and see what others think of the product. With Laura Mercier however, I've never been dissatisfied with their products.

I tried it for the first time today, and I really like it. I tossed my other eyelash curler straight in the trash. This eyelash curler allows you to get all your lashes and get really close to the lid without pinching. If you'd like to read more reviews, click here. If you interested in purchasing this item, visit Laura Mercier.

Bellini

I am in love with this lipgloss by Laura Mercier. The color is Bellini and it's a soft coral. It looks super natural and I think it's great a great summer color. Generally in the summer I tend to go more natural with my colors since I'm outside a lot more and generally a bit tanned. I highly recommend this. Another plus? It leaves your lips hydrated.

Shellac Day 9

To prove how great this product is, I thought it would be nice to snap some pictures of what my nails look like now. Today is day 9 and as you can see, no chipping. Score! Next Tuesday is when I get my manicure redone. I think I'll try Tropix color next.

MAC To the Beach Collection

The new MAC To the Beach collection was just released today. This came as a complete surprise to me as it was due to be out tomorrow Thursday, May 27, 2010. If it had not been for me reading on twitter that someone had obtained their products, I probably would of missed out the whole thing. I immediately phoned my nearest Nordstrom and the sales girl confirmed the collection was released. I knew Marine Life was bound to sell out so I asked if they still had some in stock and she said yes. She couldn't put one on hold for me since the product was so new but said if I hurried, I would still be able to grab one. I literally took 10 to 15 minutes to get there and by that time, they were out. I was so annoyed. I immediately called my MAC store and they said they had plenty and they held one for me.

Now, I have to say, I was expecting more from this collection. I had saved up my pennies thinking I would want one of everything. Sadly, that was not the case. I knew ahead of time, I was not interested in any of the eyeshadows. Mainly because I already own humid and shimmermoss. The others were not colors I would wear.

I ended up only getting Marine Life which is supposed to be a highlighter but I'm going to use it as a blush. Yes, unlike many people who are not planning on using it, I do. I was planning on purchasing Hipness which is a blush but the color was extremely similar to Marine Life once the gold overlay is gone. The cream bronzers were a bit too shimmery and oily for my liking. The powder bronzers are part of the permanent line so I didn't see a need to purchase those.

The only other items I purchased was Splashing lipgloss which is a pink and Float on Bye Eye Kohl which is a vibrant aqua blue. So now I'm still searching for the perfect bronzer. Any ideas? What's your favorite bronzer?

Custom Jewlery

I love jewelry. I think a beautiful piece of jewelry makes me have better days. I feel more glamorous and enjoy having something nice to look at. Lately, I've been going for bold pieces and maintaining my wardrobe very neutral. After all, in order to pull a statement piece it's important (for me anyway) not to have to much else going on with my clothes.

At first I thought this was a phase. Now however, I realize it's not a phase like the ones I used to go through as an adolescent. When I went through my Vans phase, or Keds in all sorts of colors. It's more just a matter of getting older and my style evolving. I'm so lucky to have found Doloris Petunia. She makes the most amazing pieces of jewelry and the best part is she can custom make anything you'd like. If you'd like to see more of these wonderful pieces or inquire on a custom piece, you can go visit Doloris on Etsy.

CND Shellac 1st Day

This is my second time getting the shellac manicure. The first time I went for red and this time I went for a french manicure. The pictures would of been better had I gone for color. In person my nails are shinier than they are in these photos. I opted for french in case I wanted to add my own color prior to my 2 weeks.

CND Shellac

Have you heard of CND Shellac? CND Shellac is by Creative Nail Designs. It's the newest product out on the market that allows you to maintain your nail polish for 2 weeks just like if you had gel or acrylic nails but without the damage. CND Shellac is just a base coat, color, and top coat nail polish. The nail polish is a special formula and after applying each of the three coats, you put your nails under a UV light and that activates the special formula that allows the nail polish be almost like a gel overlay. There is no drilling and no filling done to the bed of your nail.

Since the product is so new, it's difficult to find a manicurist who uses it or has even heard of it. The best thing to do is go on CND website to find a salon or manicurist in your area.

The only real issue I have with this product is the selection of colors is not huge. They will be adding some more in the coming months so I'll just have to be patient. I'm getting mine done again tomorrow and will post some pictures to show what they look like.

First Entry

After reading and following a tremendous amount of blogs, I've decided the time has come for me to create my own. Unfortunately, I don't particularly have a theme. I love shoes, make up and fashion. All of which I don't spend enough money on to maintain a blog on.

I mean, let's be serious, there's bloggers out there who have an entry each day with a new item to show us and I love them for it. That's why I tune in, to see what new goodies they have to show me.

I however, am not as creative as I'd like to be. Yeah...I have many obsessions, shoes for one which I'm sure you figured that out. However, I've noticed I go through phases of things I'm obsessed with. One month it could be handbags, the other month it could be makeup, you just never know what to expect from my OCD-ness.
